  my dad now an ex witnesses was visited last sunday by an active witness who said that during the special talk in the assembly in colchester england they would be advised to begin stockpiling food and water for what could a economic meltdown!.

  my dad reminded him about the ancient israelites who relied on jehovah and were provided with mana after their escape from egypt, the point was lost on him!.

  have the governing body become a pseudo survivalist regime, and where is their faith!!.

  i wonder how jws will react to this recent evidence that intelligent man existed at least 22,000 years before adam and eve arrived on the scene?.

  it looks like membership will continue to decline as far as intelligent jws are concerned.

  i'm sure there will be plenty of society's bottom feeders who will continue to find their way on to the jw publisher lists.

  i was just surprised by that term being used by jim mccabe when he said "jonathan kendrick was not a leader or a pastor, he was just a rank-and-file member.".

  i thought that was only an apostate term and also what a put down to us lowly members.

  we are just a rank-and-file person.

  i was about 8-10 years old and twice i had people tell me that i should not pioneer but to go to bethel because i "was governing body material".. one was a co and another a do.. i didn't even believe in god, never have so that makes it weird!.

  what wierd things were told?.

  from the platform: when encouraging school-age children to use their summer, and adults to use their secular vacations for pioneering, we were asked, how would you like it if jehovah took a vacation from you?.

  why, the district convention is three days of Spiritual Refreshment ™!

  It is its own mini-vacation! And dont forget to wear your meeting clothes when traveling the day before and on the way back!!

  When we take a vacation, do we make sure to still attend meetings? sd-7, we take a vacation from the WORLD, not from Jehovah.
